1. Who we are
Seller: InspectMyCV (legal business name: InspectMyCV; trading name: InspectMyCV).
InspectMyCV ("we", "us") provides an online service that compares your CV with a job description, gives a match score and keyword analysis, and can generate a tailored version of your CV. When you use InspectMyCV you are contracting with InspectMyCV.
2. Accepting these terms
By creating an account or continuing to use InspectMyCV, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. You must be at least 16 years old, and if you use InspectMyCV on behalf of an organisation you confirm you have authority to bind it.
3. Your account
Keep your login details confidential — you are responsible for activity under your account. Please give accurate information and keep it up to date.
4. Acceptable use
You must not misuse InspectMyCV. In particular you must not:
- use it for anything unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive, or to send spam;
- upload content you do not have the right to use, or that infringes anyone's intellectual property;
- interfere with its security — including introducing malware, probing for vulnerabilities, scraping, or bypassing usage limits;
- reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the service;
- use it to create misleading CVs, impersonate others, or generate hateful, abusive or illegal content, or attempt to get around our safeguards.
5. AI-generated results
Match scores, keyword lists and tailored CVs are generated by AI and may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are guidance, not professional careers or legal advice. You are responsible for what you upload, for checking every output before you use it, and for making sure any CV you send is truthful. Our tailoring is designed never to add experience, skills or qualifications that are not in your original CV, but you must still review it.
You keep the rights to the CV and job text you provide, and to the outputs created for you. You give us a limited licence to process that content only to provide the service. We may remove content, refuse or filter outputs, or restrict accounts that break these rules. If you believe content on InspectMyCV infringes your rights, tell us through our contact page; repeated infringement leads to account termination.
6. Our intellectual property
InspectMyCV owns the service and all related intellectual property, including the software, design, documentation and branding. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within your chosen plan.
7. Plans, payments and cancellation
Payments are processed through Stripe. Our checkout includes tax compliance, fraud protection, disputes and transaction-related support handled through Stripe where available. Your bank statement may show LINK.COM* followed by our statement descriptor. For product or account questions, contact InspectMyCV.
Paid plans are monthly subscriptions that renew automatically until cancelled. The plan price and any applicable tax are shown at checkout. Paid plan changes take effect immediately with a prorated charge or credit; changes requiring payment complete once payment succeeds. If you cancel, you keep your paid features until the end of the month you have paid for. See our Refund Policy for our money-back guarantee.
8. Service availability
We work hard to keep InspectMyCV running well, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" without implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay, create a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously break our acceptable use rules. You can stop using InspectMyCV and delete your account at any time. When your account ends we delete your account data as described in our Privacy Notice.
10. Liability
Our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost opportunities or lost data. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.
11. General
We may update these terms and will show the date of the latest version on this page. We are not responsible for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. Questions? Contact us.
